Give the team details that affect the visit
Share the address, approximate size and age, occupancy and any unusual features. Mention detached buildings, pools, access restrictions and any insurer or builder request. If you want to attend, arrange that in advance so there is time to discuss observations without interrupting safe work.
Clear access helps the visit proceed as planned. Ask the property owner to arrange access to relevant rooms, equipment and attic openings. Utilities or equipment that are off need appropriate arrangements before the appointment; do not switch on a system that may be unsafe merely to save time.
