Drone Areal Imaging

Drones are not only cool, they play a very important role in modern home inspections.

The roof is probably one of the hardest and most dangerous areas to inspect in a house, also one of the most vulnerable to defects. Damngood inspectors will walk on your roof whenever it is safe, since it is the best way to inspect it. But that are many situations that walking is not a safe option, that's when drones come in as a second best option. Drone images will include

  • Overview of the roof shape

  • Roof penetrations (vents, chimneys, etc)

  • Valleys, flashings and gutters

Infrared Thermal Imaging

Infrared thermal images show the heat contrast in objects. This picture shows the “heat print” left by a hand that touched a cabinet surface. Infrared Infrared cameras do not emit radiation and cannot “see through” objects!

In modern home inspection, thermal imaging can unveil water leaks, lack of insulation and other conditions not readily visible to the naked eye. Areas thermal imaging will investigate:

  • Ceiling insulation and “roof to wall” connections

  • Plumbing and electrical panels / receptacles

  • Any suspected anomaly

Your Damngood Inspector is a trained and certified Infrared technician by InterNACHI.

Borescope (“endoscope”) Imaging

There are some areas inside a house that are simply hard to reach to the average tools in home inspection. These same areas can pose a great risk of defects that if not identified can lead to more serious problems.

Your Damngood Inspection will include Borescope Imaging to visually exam hard to reach areas in order to provide a comprehensive inspection. Borescope cameras similarly to a medical “Endoscope Cameras”, a long thin cable with an attached camera and lights on the end.
